New Feature

Create and sync GitHub Issues directly from Scrut

What's new?

Scrut now supports creating GitHub issues directly from the platform, consistent with other project management integrations. You can raise issues from evidence, tests, policies, audits, and vulnerabilities without leaving Scrut, pushing tasks to GitHub as part of your existing workflow.

Why was this needed?

Previously, teams had to switch between Scrut and GitHub to log action items identified during compliance work. This added friction and made it harder to keep tasks connected to the evidence or test that surfaced them. With GitHub issue creation now available directly in Scrut, you can act on findings immediately and maintain traceability without context-switching.

How it works

  • Update your GitHub integration.

  • Navigate to the relevant artifact in Scrut: evidence, a test, a policy, an audit, or a vulnerability.

  • Click the three-dots menu on the top-right and select the option to create a GitHub issue.

  • Complete the issue details and confirm. The issue will be created in GitHub and linked back to the originating item in Scrut.
