New Feature

Onboard vendors faster by auto-fetching vendor details and documents from the Trust Portal

What's new?

When you add a vendor manually, Scrut now automatically recognizes known vendors and links their Trust Portal URL directly in the Documents tab of the vendor details page. For vendors whose Trust Portals are hosted on the Scrut platform, you can fetch public documents from their portal straight into the vendor details page in Scrut.

Why was this needed?

Manually searching for vendor Trust Portals and uploading documents from multiple sources slows down onboarding and increases the risk of missing or outdated information. Auto-fetching vendor details means your team spends less time on setup and more time on the actual security review, with all evidence in one place.

How it works

  • When adding a new vendor, start typing the vendor name.

  • If Scrut recognizes the vendor, select it from the predefined list to automatically link the compliance URL in the Documents tab. Fill in the remaining vendor details and save.

  • For vendors with a Trust Portal hosted on Scrut, go to the Documents tab, click Add Documents, and select Add from LiveTrust Portal.

  • Browse the list of publicly available documents from that vendor's trust portal, select the ones you need, and click Submit to add them to your Documents tab.

  • For private documents, use the trust portal link to request access directly from the vendor.
