Identify gaps in your policies automatically with Scrut Teammates

What's new?

Scrut Teammates can now analyze your uploaded policies and identify gaps, surfacing findings directly in the Policy module. The dashboard shows the gap analysis status for each policy and a summary of gap counts across your entire policy library. You can then mark individual gaps as done, ignore gaps that are not applicable, and trigger a fresh analysis using the refresh option.

Why was this needed?

Manual policy review is time- and labor-intensive, leaving gaps undetected until an audit surfaces them. With Teammates analyzing your policies automatically, you get a continuous view of where your policy content does not fully reflect the controls mapped to it. This keeps your compliance program accurate and your audit preparation on track, without dedicating hours to line-by-line manual reviews.

How it works

• Navigate to the Policy module to access the updated Teammates gap analysis dashboard.

• Review the analysis status for each policy to see whether Teammates has completed its evaluation.

• Check the summary panel for an at-a-glance count of policies with no gaps, policies with gaps detected, and policies still pending evaluation.

• For policies that are pending, open the policy and click the refresh button to trigger analysis manually.

• Review the first detected gap listed on each policy card, along with the count of additional gaps found.

• Click "View all" to see the complete list of policies with detected gaps.

• Click "View" on any individual policy to see all gaps listed for that policy.

• For each gap, select "Mark as done" when the gap has been addressed, or "Ignore" if the gap is not applicable.

• Check the last refreshed time shown on the policy to understand how recent the analysis is, and click refresh to re-run it at any time.
