Assign a risk to multiple departments to reflect cross-functional ownership
What's new?
The Department field in Risk Management now supports multiple selections, allowing you to associate risks with multiple departments to better reflect cross-functional ownership.
Why was this needed?
Many risks span multiple departments, but the single-select Department field allowed selection of only one department. This limited visibility made it harder for all relevant teams to track risks they own. Multi-select departments ensure risks appear for all assigned departments, improving visibility and accountability across teams.
How it works
Select multiple departments when creating or editing a risk
Filter risks by any assigned department—risks appear in results for all selected departments
Contributors can view risks tied to departments they have access to, even if additional departments are assigned
Export risks with departments shown as comma-separated values
Note: The Department field for Mitigation Tasks remains single-select.
