Bug Fix

Policy Editor now prevents lost edits during idle time and multi-user editing

What's new?

We've enhanced the Policy Editor to better handle scenarios when multiple users work on the same policy. New feedback screens, automatic saving, and improved revision history updates ensure you never lose work and always know when someone else is editing a policy.

Why was this needed?

Policy collaboration should be seamless and safe. These improvements prevent data loss, provide clear visibility into who's editing what, and ensure all changes are properly tracked. This helps your team work confidently without worrying about overwriting each other's work.

How it works

  • New feedback screens

    • When you're idle, and someone else edits: You'll see a "Refresh Now" screen prompting you to view the latest changes.

    • When someone else is actively editing: An "Edit in Progress" screen clearly shows who's working on the policy.

  • When you return with no conflicts: Continue editing right where you left off.

  • Automatic saving: Scrut periodically saves your changes to prevent data loss.

  • Revision history updated: When a user becomes idle, an entry is now recorded in the revision history table to ensure better traceability of policy state changes.
