Configurable login methods to control how users log in

What’s new?

Admins can now manage which login methods are allowed for users in their organization, directly from Scrut’s settings. You can enable or disable specific authentication methods like email/password, SSO providers (e.g., Okta, Azure AD), or social logins (Google, Microsoft).

Why it matters

This update helps enforce your organization's access policies, strengthen login security, and ensure consistency with your identity provider strategy.

How it works

  1. Go to Settings → Administration → Login Methods

  2. Choose which login methods to enable or disable:

    • Enable or disable Email/Password login

    • Allow login via SSO providers (e.g., Okta, Azure AD)

    • Enable or disable Social Logins (Google, Microsoft)

  1. At least one login method must remain active to prevent user lockouts.

  2. If SSO is enabled, the email login option is hidden by default on the login page but remains available for access recovery.
