Clarify remediation steps with new corrective and preventive action fields

AUTHOR: The folks at Scrut

What's new?

Corrective actions in Scrut now include three new fields to capture both short-term and long-term remediation efforts. The new fields are:

  • Corrective Action Name to identify the documented remediation

  • Corrective Action Description to capture short-term fixes

  • Preventive Action field (optional) to capture long-term measures that address root causes

Why it matters

These new fields help distinguish between short-term fixes and long-term preventive measures, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to issue resolution. This reduces ambiguity during audits and simplifies follow-ups by providing auditors with structured, complete remediation records.

How it works

You can see the new fields when creating a new corrective action in the Audit Center. For existing corrective actions, you can edit the details to add values for these fields.
