To address the challenges associated with integration failures, we have strategically implemented cloud integration audit logs as a key feature. This exciting addition significantly enhances our cloud integration system.

Why These Changes?

Earlier, managing cloud integrations could be tricky. Users faced challenges like handling multiple integrations, struggling to find important setup details, and facing confusion when configuring or deleting integrations.

What's New?

We've made it simpler for you:

  1. Easy Management: Handling many integrations is now a breeze.

  2. Clearer Setup: You can find essential details more easily.

  3. Better Deletion: When you delete integrations, it's much clearer, especially if you want to remove specific items.

  4. Better Tracking: You can now quickly find and sort logs, making it easier to keep an eye on things.

These changes mean that managing your cloud integrations is now smoother and more organized. Plus, audit logs keep a record of everything, so you always know what's happening. We'll provide more details in the sections below.

Streamlined Cloud Integration:

How does it Work?

  1. Navigate to 'Settings,' go to 'Integration,' and select your desired cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  2. Click on 'Configure' to open the 'Cloud Provider Integration' page.

  1. On the Integration page, you'll find two tabs: 'Integration' and 'Audit Logs'.

  1. Integration Tab: We've introduced the "Integration ID" in this tab, enabling unique identification for each integration. This simplifies management and reference of your integrations.

  1. You can now effortlessly access configuration details by clicking on integration rows, allowing quick access to secret values and associated credentials.

  1. When opting to delete a cloud integration, you have two choices:

  • AWS Account: Delete only the AWS account.

  • AWS Account & Test Findings: Delete the AWS account along with the associated test findings.

Audit Logs:

Audit logs have been incorporated to provide comprehensive tracking of all integration actions. Every action performed on the integration page is meticulously recorded in the audit logs.

How to Access Audit Logs:

  1. Click on the 'Audit Logs' tab to find a comprehensive record of actions performed, complete with dates and times.

  1. Audit logs meticulously record all actions, whether you're adding a new integration or removing an existing one.

  2. Integration Validation: If integration is initiated with accurate credentials, the audit log will first document the user's initiation and credential validation, then confirm successful integration.

  1. Integration Failure: When integration begins with incorrect credentials, the audit log will still record the user's initiation and credential validation. However, in this scenario, it will provide a clear explanation for the failure, specifying that the integration could not proceed due to invalid credentials.

  1. Deletion Tracking: If a user deletes only the AWS account, the log will show that the user deleted the account.

If the user chooses to delete both the AWS account and associated test findings, the log will indicate that the account is deleted along with the test findings.

  1. Filter and Sort: Audit logs offer a convenient list view with filter options. You can click on the Action dropdown and choose specific categories, such as integrations deleted, deleted with data purged, account credentials invalid, or integration added. Additionally, you can filter by user, date and sort logs by newest first or oldest first.

These enhancements are consistent across Azure and GCP integrations, with minor variations in cloud provider naming. All functionalities remain consistent, providing a unified and user-friendly experience.
