Configure your GitHub integration by Topics for smarter, scalable repo management
What's new?
The Scrut - GitHub integration now supports scoping by GitHub Topics in addition to individual repositories
Select one or more Topics (e.g., "backend," "infra," or "compliance"), and Scrut automatically includes all repositories tagged with those Topics.
Enable "Auto-include future repos matching selected topics" to automatically bring new repos into scope as they're created in GitHub, without requiring any manual updates.
Why was this needed?
Manually selecting repositories from hundreds of repos is time-consuming and error-prone, especially when repos are already organized using GitHub Topics. Scoping by Topics makes integration setup faster, more accurate, and it scales automatically as your organization grows.
How it works
Choose between two scoping methods when setting up GitHub integration:
Scope by Repositories (select individual repos manually)
Scope by Topics (select GitHub Topics to automatically include tagged repos)
Enable "Auto-include future repos matching selected topics" to automatically add new repos as they're created with those topics
Update scoping anytime by modifying selected Topics or repositories
