Confluence Integration: Sync Policies
What is this feature?
Confluence Integration enables automatic import and synchronization of policies from Confluence to Scrut.
Use case/Pain point solved
This addresses the challenge faced by customers who maintain their policy documents in Confluence. It eliminates the need for manual import and ensures Scrut stays up-to-date with any policy changes made in Confluence.
How does it work?
A) Integrating Confluence
Navigate to 'Integrations' within 'Settings'.
Under the 'Policy Management' section, look for 'Confluence' and click "Integrate".
Click "Connect".
It redirects to the 'Confluence' login page. If you are already logged in, then it asks you to grant access to the following items:
Labels: View labels associated with the content or space.
Page: View page content.
Click "Accept".
Upon successful authentication, you will be redirected back to Scrut, and your integration will be successful.
Next, click on the three-dots menu on the top right, then click "Configure Labels".
Select the labels and only the Confluence documents with the selected labels can be synced to Scrut. Click "Submit".
B) Syncing Policies from Confluence
Navigate to the Policy Module and click on any policy.
Click the "+" button.
Click "Sync a File".
Search for the policy you want to sync, select it, and click "Submit".
The policy is synced successfully, and the status changes from 'Not Uploaded' to 'Draft'.
Once the policy is published, if its content changes in Confluence, Scrut will prompt the user that a new version is available.
Click "View Policy" to review the content and then you can either choose to skip or sync the latest content.
If you choose to sync, then the policy status will change from 'Published' to 'Draft', and it has to go through the approval process again.
