Dynamic Control Status based on Framework and Entity selected

We're excited to announce an improvement to our control status display, providing you with a more accurate and contextual understanding of control effectiveness.

Pain Point Solved

Previously, the control status remained generic across all frameworks and entities. This limited visibility potentially misleads users about a control's true effectiveness within a specific framework or entity.

For example, a control might be linked to multiple frameworks, e.g., ISO, PCI DSS, etc. Its overall status might be non-compliant because one of the ISO artifacts has not been uploaded. But for PCI, all the artifacts have been uploaded. So when the user selects the PCI framework, the control still shows 'Non-Compliant'.

How does it work?

  1. In the 'Controls' table, if the user applies a framework and entity filter, then the status of the control would be determined for the selected framework and entity.

  1. In the 'Framework Detail' page, the control status will be based on the framework in context.
