Edits to policy variables now auto-save and auto-trigger status changes

What's new?

We've updated how you work with policy variables. Your progress is now saved automatically as you define the values for policy variables. Also, changes to policy variables will automatically trigger status changes for your policies. This means you no longer need to complete and submit all variables at once, and you'll see immediate updates to your policy status based on your edits.

Why does it matter?

This enhancement allows you and your team to work at your own pace without worrying about losing progress or creating submission bottlenecks. It also ensures that the status of your policies accurately reflects the latest changes to your policy variables, providing a clearer view of your policy's lifecycle.

How it works

  • "Submit" Button Removed: Your answers for policy variables are now automatically reflected on the policy detail page, eliminating the need for a final submission step.

  • Automatic Draft Status: A policy’s status automatically changes from Not Uploaded to Draft once all its variables have been answered. The policy will revert to Draft if any variable is later edited.

  • Improved Editing Alerts: If you edit an already answered variable, a warning will notify you that the change will affect all linked policies and update the status to Draft.
