What's changed?

The SOC 2 framework in Scrut has been comprehensively updated to incorporate the 2022 Revised Points of Focus, with refined requirement categories, improved control mappings, and optimized evidence suggestions that align precisely with the official 2017 Trust Services Criteria.

Why it matters

  • Complete Alignment with 2022 Revised Points of Focus: The entire requirements now incorporate the Revised Points of Focus (2022).

  • Updated Requirement Categories: All requirement categories have been updated to align precisely with the hierarchical structure and terminology of the official 2017 Trust Services Criteria, improving traceability for both internal teams and external auditors.

  • Refined Control Mappings: Existing control mappings have been rigorously reviewed and refined to ensure enhanced clarity, consistency, and direct alignment between the control description and the required outcome.

  • Evidence Optimization: We have now removed evidence suggestions that lacked clear descriptions or were found to be irrelevant to the primary control objective, thereby reducing unnecessary compliance overhead.

How it works

  • Open the Frameworks → SOC 2 mapping to review updated requirements, control links, and evidence suggestions.

  • Review refined control mappings that provide enhanced clarity and consistency between control descriptions and required outcomes.

  • Leverage optimized evidence suggestions that focus only on relevant, clearly described evidence for each control objective.
