Fixed Data Conflict between HRIS and IDP
We are excited to announce a significant enhancement to our platform that addresses a common pain point for organizations integrating their Identity Provider (IDP) systems (e.g., Okta) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) like BambooHR in Scrut. With this update, we've resolved the issue of data conflicts and introduced a "Single Source of Truth" solution to streamline your data management.
Key Enhancement
HRIS Data Precedence:
In scenarios where both HRIS integration and Identity Provider (IDP) integration are done, HRIS data will now take precedence for the data population. This means that HRIS data will be synced, and Identity Provider data will be overridden to ensure consistency.
Handling Different Scenarios:
To accommodate various scenarios, the system will behave as follows:
HRIS = Yes, Identity Provider = Yes: In this scenario, where both HRIS and Identity Provider data are integrated, the system will prioritize HRIS data for synchronization.
HRIS = Yes, Identity Provider = No: If HRIS integration is enabled, and there is no Identity Provider data, the system will sync data solely from HRIS.
HRIS = No, Identity Provider = Yes: When HRIS integration is not enabled, but Identity Provider data is present, the system will sync data from the Identity Provider.
Ensuring HRIS Precedence:
In situations where a customer initially integrated with an Identity Provider and subsequently integrated with HRIS, the system will ensure that HRIS data takes precedence and overrides any existing Identity Provider data.
This enhancement offers greater control and flexibility in managing employee data, aligning data synchronization with HRIS integration to improve data accuracy and consistency. We believe that this change will provide our users with a more streamlined and effective data management experience.
