Import an existing policy file and edit it directly in Scrut
What's new?
The policy creation and import experience has been redesigned to make it faster and more flexible. You can now import files directly into the inline editor, start from a pre-built template, and upload PDF documents alongside other supported file types.
Why was this needed?
Teams often already have policy documents prepared and want an easier way to bring them into Scrut without losing the ability to edit them later. With this update, users can import files directly into the inline editor rather than adding them as attachments.
How it works
When creating a new policy, you can choose to start from a template or draft from scratch.
In the upload or import section, drag and drop your file or select it manually. PDF and other common file types are now supported.
Click Import to bring the file into the inline editor. If you only need to attach the file without editing it, use the attachment option instead.
After saving, Scrut will process the import. A platform notification will confirm when the document is ready.
Open the policy, select Edit, and review your imported content. Note: Formatting is preserved as uploaded.
