Improved and consistent File Preview experience across all modules

What is it?

We’ve rolled out a new and improved file preview experience across all modules (Policies, Evidence, Vault, and more)—with better readability, support for more file types, and new controls like zoom, full-screen, and in-document search.

Why does it matter?

Previously, file previews were hard to navigate and inconsistent across modules. You couldn’t zoom, enter full-screen, or search inside the file. Now, you can do all that—and more—making it much easier to view and work with files in one place.

How it works:

• Whether you’re in Policies, Evidence, Vault, or anywhere else—every preview now looks and works the same.

• Supported file formats include:

  • Spreadsheets: .xlsx, .xls, .csv

  • Emails: .eml

  • Documents: .doc, .docx

  • Presentations: .ppt, .pptx

  • Videos: .mp4

  • PDFs: .pdf

  • Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png

• Upload any supported file in modules where attachments are allowed. Click on the file to open the new preview modal.

  

• New controls for better usability:

  • Enjoy a wider modal for better readability

  • Zoom in and out

  • Switch to full-screen view

  • Use Cmd + F / Ctrl + F to search inside the file

  • Easily download files from the preview modal
