Improved vendor context via inline definitions in Teammates assessments

What's changed?

We’ve added inline definitions for vendor types—API, SDK, Application, UI & Reporting, and Services—within the vendor assessment flow in Scrut Teammates. Now, users selecting a vendor type will be able to see and select clear definitions directly in the dropdown, and these selected definitions will remain visible in read-only mode after the assessment is saved.

Why it matters

Correct vendor classification is crucial for accurate risk assessment; however, different team members may interpret vendor types differently. These built-in definitions ensure consistent categorization across your organization, resulting in more reliable assessments and improved compliance outcomes.

How it works

When choosing a vendor type during AI Assessment, you can now see clear inline explanations that help you select the most appropriate vendor category.
