Integrating Project Management Tools to Risk Management

DATE:
AUTHOR: The folks at Scrut

In our continuous effort to enhance our platform's capabilities, we have identified and addressed a significant gap. We noticed the risk management module was lacking in its integration with project management tools. This integration is crucial as it allows for the creation and monitoring of tasks within treatment plans directly from the project management module that your organization uses. We're excited to introduce this new feature to you in this release.

Use case

A risk assessment identified in the risk management module can be converted into a task assigned to a specific team member within the project management module. Project managers can monitor the progress of risk mitigation tasks in real-time alongside other project tasks. This allows for better visibility into potential risks and their resolution status, facilitating proactive decision-making.

How does it work?

  1. Navigate to 'Settings' and go to 'Integrations'.

  1. Scroll down to the 'Project Management Platforms' section to see a list of all available project management tools that you can integrate. You can select and integrate the relevant tools.

  1. Once the integration is completed, navigate to any risk detail page in risk management. Click on the three-dot menu next to the 'Start Assessment' menu, and the project management tool(s) that have been integrated into Scrut will appear.

  1. Once you create a ticket or task with your chosen project management tool and successfully complete it, a comment is added to the risk detail page along with the task or ticket number.

A comment is added when a JIRA ticket is created.
