ISO 22301:2019 updated with expanded coverage and new policy templates

What's new?

We have expanded the ISO 22301:2019 framework to include all standard clauses, increasing the number of distinct requirements from 56 to 73. We've also reviewed control mappings for precision, removed ambiguous evidence suggestions and added new, customizable policy templates for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

Why was this needed?

Gaps in requirement coverage and loosely mapped controls made audit preparation harder and time-consuming. Ambiguous evidence suggestions made it difficult for teams to collect relevant documentation. This update provides a complete, auditor-ready framework in which every requirement, control mapping, and evidence suggestion has a defined role in your compliance program.

How it works

  • Access the updated ISO 22301:2019 framework from the Frameworks module.

  • Review the expanded set of 73 requirements to ensure your compliance program covers the full scope of the standard.

  • Assess refined control mappings for improved clarity and direct traceability between control descriptions and required outcomes.

  • Use the new Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery policy templates to accelerate documentation.

  • Review updated evidence suggestions, now focused on high-value documentation, to reduce unnecessary compliance effort.
