Link Artifacts to Controls via Requirements - Part 1
We are excited to introduce a new feature that simplifies the process of mapping artifacts to UCF controls. This enhancement addresses the challenge faced by users who are unfamiliar with the Universal Control Framework (UCF) and prefer to see the framework requirements first and then map to UCF controls.
Enhanced Modules
The following modules now include this streamlined artifact to control the mapping feature:
Policy

Audit Center Requests
How does it work?
Create a new policy and link controls via requirements:
Navigate to the Policy module and click 'Create New' at the top right corner.
Fill in the necessary policy details and click 'Next'.
In the "Link Clauses and Controls" window, go to the 'Requirements' tab.
Select 'Requirement', go to the control you want to map, and click 'Link'.
Your policy will be created with the requirement seamlessly mapped to it.
Editing Requirements in an Existing Policy:
Navigate to the 'Policy' module and open a specific policy you wish to work with.
Within the policy details, locate the 'Requirements' tab.
Click on the 'Edit' button, typically located on the right side of the requirement section.
A pop-up window will appear, displaying a list of framework requirements. Choose the specific framework requirement you wish to map to the policy.
Click the 'Link' button to establish the mapping.
This streamlined process allows users to link artifacts to controls via framework requirements, bypassing the need for in-depth knowledge of the Universal Control Framework (UCF). It simplifies and accelerates the mapping process within the Policy module, enhancing user efficiency and overall usability.
