Mandatory Risk - Control Linkage

AUTHOR: The folks at Scrut

We are pleased to announce a significant bug fix in our latest release aimed at enhancing the integrity of our Risk Management module.

In this update, we have addressed a critical issue that allowed users to treat risks without linking them to a control or requirement, thereby potentially compromising the effectiveness of risk management.

Bug Fix Details

Module: Risk Management

Issue Description: In the previous version, within the Risk Assessment workflow, users were able to proceed with risk treatment without linking the risk to a control or requirement. This unintended behavior allowed users to bypass a crucial step, potentially leading to incomplete or ineffective risk management practices.

No Control Linked: Inactive 'Link' Button

One Control Selected: Active 'Link' Button

Resolution: Starting with this release, we have implemented a fix to rectify this issue. Users must now select and link a control or requirement to a risk when defining their treatment strategy. This enhancement ensures that risk management is comprehensive and effective, addressing the root causes and mitigation measures associated with each risk.
