Manual Sync for Integrations

What is this feature?

We are excited to introduce a new feature in the latest release of the Scrut platform - Manual Sync for Integrations! Now, users have the flexibility to trigger a manual sync for all integrations across the platform, providing more control over data synchronization.

Note:

  1. Cloud providers' integrations will not have this functionality because the manual sync option is already available at the test-finding level.

  2. Project management integrations will not have this functionality.

How does it work?

  1. In the Scrut Platform, navigate to "Settings". Go to "Integrations" and select any integration you want to manually trigger a sync.

  2. Click on the three dots and select "Sync now".

  1. Click on SYNC.

  1. A banner will be pop up stating Sync initiated successfully.

  1. Once done, an email will be sent to the person who triggered the Manual Sync.

  1. Users are allowed to sync a particular integration only once in 24hrs. So, if a user tries to trigger the manual sync again, a message will be displayed asking to come back after 24hrs.

  1. This limitation ensures that manual sync is used judiciously and doesn't disrupt regular platform operations.

  2. Users will have the ability to trigger Manual Sync individually for fetching people's details, and Vendor Discovery for Google Workspace since Google Workspace has two different syncs individually.
