Mark attachments mandatory for specific questions in vendor assessments
What's new?
You can now mark attachments as mandatory at the question level in Vendor Assessment questionnaires. Vendors will be unable to submit the questionnaire until all required attachments are uploaded. This setting is also supported in CSV-imported questionnaires via a new "Attachment Required (Yes/No)" column.
Why was this needed?
Getting the right supporting documents — policies, certifications, audit reports — from vendors often requires multiple follow-ups outside Scrut. Mandatory attachments let you specify exactly what evidence you need for each question, so responses arrive complete, reviews move faster, and the back-and-forth is eliminated before it starts.
How it works
Open a Vendor Assessment questionnaire and navigate to the question you want to configure.
Mark the attachment field as mandatory at the question level.
To apply this setting via CSV import, include the "Attachment Required (Yes/No)" column and set the value for each relevant question.
Vendors will see the attachment requirement when responding and will not be able to submit until all required files are uploaded.
