Mark vendors under evaluation as Prospective for easy identification
What's new?
You can now track vendors under evaluation separately from approved vendors using the new Prospective Vendor status. When adding vendors manually, through intake forms, or via integrations, simply select "Prospective" or "Active" status. Prospective vendors display a distinct icon for easy identification and support the same workflows as active vendors, including sending questionnaires, collecting documents, and archiving when needed.
Why was this needed?
Vendor onboarding often involves evaluating multiple prospects before approval, but tracking evaluation progress can be messy. The Prospective Vendor status gives teams clear visibility into which vendors are approved and which are still being assessed, preventing confusion and ensuring proper oversight throughout the evaluation process.
How it works
When adding vendors manually into Scrut, select "Prospective" or "Active" status during setup
Approve vendors from intake forms and choose their status before adding them to your list
Mark vendors discovered from integrations as prospective or active
Switch vendors between prospective and active status using the three-dot menu
Use the vendor status filter to view prospective, active, or archived vendors
