Marking Employee Device as Out of Scope

What is this feature?

We are excited to introduce a new enhancement in this release that helps users to mark employee devices as out of scope. With this enhancement, users now have the capability to exclude specific devices from compliance calculation by marking them as 'Out of Scope'.

Use case Solved

1. An employee has left the organization, and his/her device has not yet been assigned to anyone. So until then, it should not be considered for compliance.

2. An employee’s device is transferred to some other user. So, older device information should not be considered for compliance.

How does it work?

Mark Out of Scope

1. In the Scrut Platform, navigate to "People", go to "Employees" and select any employee.

2. Navigate to the "Technicals" tab.

3. Click on "Mark Out of Scope" to exclude the MDM from the people compliance calculation.

4. This exclusion ensures that uninstalled or irrelevant MDMs do not affect the compliance metrics, providing users with a more accurate representation of their device compliance.

5. Once you click on "Mark Out of Scope", you can add Justification for the same and click on "SAVE".

6. When you hover over the i icon, the justification added will be displayed.

Mark In Scope

1. If you would like to mark any MDM as In Scope, navigate to the specific employee and select the "Technicals" tab.

2. Click on "Mark in Scope".

3. When an MDM is marked as 'In Scope', it is considered in the compliance calculation.
