Marking Employee Device as Out of Scope
What is this feature?
We are excited to introduce a new enhancement in this release that helps users mark employee devices as out of scope. With this enhancement, users now have the capability to exclude specific devices from compliance calculation by marking them as 'Out of Scope'.
Use case solved
An employee has left the organization, and his/her device has not yet been assigned to anyone. So, until then, it should not be considered for compliance.
Older device information should not be considered for compliance when an employee’s device is transferred to another user.
How does it work?
Mark Out of Scope:
In the Scrut platform, navigate to 'People', go to 'Employees', and select any employee.
Navigate to the 'Technicals' tab.
Click on "Mark Out of Scope" to exclude the MDM from the people compliance calculation.
This exclusion ensures that uninstalled or irrelevant MDMs do not affect the compliance metrics, providing users with a more accurate representation of their device compliance.
Once you click on 'Mark Out of Scope', you can add 'Justification' for the same and click on "SAVE".
The justification added will be displayed when you hover over the 'i' icon.
Mark In Scope:
If you would like to mark any MDM as 'In Scope', navigate to the specific employee and select the 'Technicals' tab.
Click on "Mark in Scope".
When an MDM is marked as 'In Scope', it is considered in the compliance calculation.
