Note: This feature is currently in Beta. If you are interested in exploring this feature, please get in touch with your account manager.

We are excited to announce a new feature in the Cloud module that enhances the visibility and usability of test findings. With this update, users can now access comprehensive metadata for each cloud resource associated with a test finding, empowering them to take swift and informed action to address any misconfigurations.

Challenges Faced by DevOps and Infra Team

  1. Insufficient Information for Remediation: Previously, users may have encountered test findings without adequate information on how to remediate them effectively. The lack of detailed metadata for cloud resources made it challenging for users to understand the root cause of the misconfigurations and implement appropriate fixes.

  2. Increased Scrut Support Dependency: Due to the limited information available on test findings, customers might have relied heavily on Scrut’s support team for clarification and additional context. This dependence on support slowed down the resolution process and increased the workload for your support staff.

  3. Time-Consuming Resolution Process: Without access to comprehensive cloud resource metadata, users had to conduct manual investigations to gather relevant details about the affected resources. This time-consuming process hindered swift and efficient remediation.

How to access MetaData?

  1. Log in to your Scrut account.

  2. Navigate to the Cloud→Tests module.

  1. Click on a specific test finding to view the list of associated cloud resources.

  1. Click on any cloud resource to open the metadata display, showcasing all relevant information for that resource.
