New Feature

Multi-select objective questions to capture accurate vendor responses

What’s new?

You can now create multi-select objective-type questions in vendor questionnaires and intake forms. Vendors can select multiple applicable options, allowing for more accurate and comprehensive data collection during assessments.

Why it matters

Previously, only single-select objective questions were supported. With this update, you can collect more complete data in a single question (eg., “Which PII data do you process?”), better assess vendor risk with multi-response logic, and eliminate the need for workaround questions.

How it works

  • Admins can now define an objective question as either single-select or multi-select when:

    • Adding/editing questions in a questionnaire template

    • Importing questionnaire templates

    • Editing questions in the vendor intake form

  • When creating or editing an objective question, choose between:

    • Single-select (radio buttons)

    • Multi-select (checkboxes)

  • Risk scoring logic:

    • Single-select: Risk score is based on the selected option

    • Multi-select: The final risk score is the maximum score among all selected options

These changes apply to both the Scrut platform and the vendor portal, ensuring consistency across all views.
