New checklist item: OS patch compliance checks

What's new?

You can now verify if employee devices are updated with the latest operating system (OS) patches. A new checklist item titled “Install Device Security Patches” is now available as part of checklists in the People module. This check automatically evaluates each employee’s device status and flags outdated systems.

Why it matters

By automatically monitoring patch compliance, you can ensure all employee devices have installed the latest OS security patches. This ensures a stronger security posture and audit-ready assurance, with zero manual tracking.

Impact areas

• People Checklist: A new task appears for employees with non-compliant devices.

• Employee Detail Page: Device patch status is visible in the compliance section.

• Employee List Page: Use filters to view and sort based on patch compliance.

• Employee Export: Compliance status is included in exported reports.

• Training Portal: Employees can see and resolve this checklist item.

• Email & Slack/MS Teams Reminders: Non-compliant employees are nudged to update their devices.

• Automated Test: Employee devices have the latest patches installed.

Note: This feature currently works with NinjaOne-managed devices. Support for more MDMs is coming soon.
