Platform-wide updates for an enhanced user experience
What's new?
We've standardized buttons, CTAs, filters, and dropdowns across Scrut for consistency. Key updates include:
#1: Standardized Buttons, CTAs & Filter Language
What’s changed
Consistent button UX copy, such as "Add" for all Scrut items; "Create" for external integrations like Jira.
Removed redundant “+” icons and unclear labels
Clear and actionable filter terminology
Directional cues added for multi-step actions (→)
Why it matters
These updates reduce confusion caused by inconsistent labels, improve clarity, reduce cognitive load, and provide a more unified experience across workflows.
#2: Unified Dropdown Component & Multi-line Text Support
What’s changed
Long menu items now wrap into multiple lines instead of truncating
Consistent typography (Rethink Sans)
All dropdown interaction states are now defined:
Default
Hover
Focused
Disabled
Grouped lists
Why it matters
Enhanced readability, accessibility, and consistency, so users can always see complete information without relying on hover tooltips.
#3: Universal access to user profile
What’s changed
The User Profile menu is now accessible directly via profile dropdown (top-right avatar)
All roles (Admin, Contributor, Auditor) can now view and edit basic profile information (e.g., Name)
Why it matters
User identity management is a core need for all users. All Scrut users, regardless of role, can access and edit user profiles.
