Review dates for evidence tasks and policies now align with recurrence

What's new?

Evidence Tasks and Policies now transition to Needs Review at the start of each new recurrence period—monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, or annually—regardless of when evidence for the prior period was uploaded.

Why was this needed?

Previously, late evidence uploads recalculated the next due date based on the upload date rather than the reporting period. This meant new periods weren't flagged as Needs Attention at the right time, and compliance dashboards could incorrectly show controls as Compliant when a new review period had already begun. The updated logic ensures reporting accuracy and audit readiness.

How it works

  • At the start of each new recurrence period, associated policies or evidence tasks automatically transition to Needs Review.

  • Late submissions no longer obscure current compliance obligations.

  • Dashboards and reports accurately reflect review status based on recurrence periods, not upload timing.

  • New reporting periods are correctly flagged for attention.
