Scrut Agent Updates
We're excited to announce some key updates to the Scrut Agent, which will enhance the user experience and streamline operations:
Automatic Background Updates: The Scrut Agent will now auto-update in the background with the latest releases. This eliminates the need for users to manually download and update to the latest version, ensuring they always have the most up-to-date features and security enhancements.
Persistent Background Operation: The Scrut Agent will now run as a daemon process, similar to other MDM solutions in the market. Users will not be able to manually quit the agent, ensuring it is always running and continuously monitoring system data with Scrut.
Task Dependencies
The Scrut Agent can automatically update the following checklist tasks for employees if enabled:
Installing of Monitoring Agent
Device Security
Note: If Scrut Agent data remains unsynchronized with the platform for over 15 days, the corresponding tasks will be marked as "Pending".
Email Alerts
For Employees
Any employee with pending tasks will receive automated alerts highlighting those tasks that need to be completed.
To enable these, the below notification should be enabled in Settings:

For Admins

These enhancements are designed to make the Scrut Agent more user-friendly, secure, and reliable. Feel free to communicate these updates to your customers to highlight our ongoing improvements.
