We're excited to introduce a significant enhancement to improve your access to employee information on the Scrut Automation platform. This update provides organizations with a more comprehensive view of employee details, including their policy acceptance, installed agents, hard drive encryption status, antivirus software installation, and screen lock activation. This in-depth understanding of workforce data is designed to support more informed decision-making.

What's New?

We've revamped the Employee table to provide a more comprehensive view of employees' technical details. Unlike the previous version, which displayed basic information such as employee names, statuses, and joining and exit dates, the enhanced table offers richer insights into employees' information.

This enhancement simplifies the process of accessing employee details, enabling users to quickly identify crucial information. The added filtering options and bulk actions empower users to efficiently manage employees based on specific criteria and perform bulk updates when necessary.

How does it work?

  1. To access the 'Employee' module, click the dropdown menu located within the 'People' module in the navigation menu.

  1. The image below provides a glimpse of the improved Employee table. The 'Person Name' column remains fixed, while you can effortlessly view the other columns by swiping left or right.

  1. Below, you can see a list of new columns that have been added to the employee table.

  • Email: Displays the email address of each employee.

  • Agent Installed: Lists the installed agents by users, with multiple agents represented by small icons.

  • Antivirus Installed (Yes/No): Shows whether antivirus software is installed.

  • Hard Drive Encryption (Yes/No): Indicates whether an employee's hard drive is encrypted.

  • Screen Lock Enabled (Yes/No): Indicates whether a screen lock is enabled.

  • Policy Accepted (Yes/No): Displays whether employees have accepted company policies.

Streamlined Filtering:

To streamline the employee search process, we've introduced a filtering feature. Simply click on the filters option near the status bar and add filters for each column.

This simplifies narrowing down your employee search based on specific criteria. Here are the available filters:

  1. Installed Agents: Filter employees by the agents they've installed, including options like Scrut Agent, JumpCloud, Fleet, etc. You can also filter for employees who haven't installed any agent by selecting "None".

  1. Antivirus Installed Filter: Filter employees based on the presence of antivirus software (Yes/No).

  1. Hard Drive Encryption Filter: Find employees based on whether their hard drive is encrypted (Yes/No).

  1. Screen Lock Enabled Filter: Identify employees who have enabled screen locks (Yes/No).

  1. Policy Accepted Filter: Locate employees who have accepted company policies (Yes/No).

  • Exporting Filtered Data: When you apply filters and export data, the exported file will exclusively include the data that matches your applied filters. This ensures you receive precisely the information you need.

Bulk Actions:

  • For bulk actions, simply click the checkbox next to Person's name.

  • Select the names for which you intend to execute a bulk update and unselect those you wish to exclude.

  • At the top of the employee list, you'll find a 'Bulk Actions' button. Upon clicking, you will get options "NOT A PERSON", "DELETE EMPLOYEE", and "SEND A REMINDER". These options allow for efficient bulk updates as needed.
